SOLUTION: There's a mod called "Fix Calamity Bug About World Creating" on tmodloader that fixes the issue. I tried it, and it does work. Apparently you only need it enabled when generating the world, then disable it right afterward. Its only function is fixing this issue until an official fix is created.
