Couple factors. Low defense monsters BP can out dps bowfa. Accuracy is what hurts BP. Shamans have low defense, as do most slayer mods, so typically BP is solid choice, also solid spec. Shayzien armor is a bowfa nerf, not having crystal armor brings the max hit down on bowfa. Bowfa still way better than msb or rcb, but crystal armor is pretty big.
