Reputable breeders handle the cropping before the dogs go to their new homes. The fact that your chosen breeder is saddling you with the burden of finding a good cropper makes me wonder what else they aren't doing for their puppies and new puppy owners.
Looks like this forum is where the action is. I have a question regarding ear cropping and tail docking. I love the look of cropped ears. I think for a doberman especially, this is a great touch. However, I am not a big fan of docking the tail. It seems to me that a dog wouldn't be born with a tail if it didn't serve some purpose.
