NSLS is The National Society of Leadership and Success and I recently got an email basically saying "This prestigious honor is awarded to only a small percent of students, so congratulations on your nomination! Your achievement of a 3.3+ GPA provides you the distinguished honor to join the NSLS as a Presidential member."

Wouldn't call it a scam, but more of a cash grab unless you really need something on your resume. It's not worth it. I did it sophomore year.
It's a scam, don't put your effort into this. You deserve a much better honor society. Hi, I know I am late to respond to this thread but I have something to say about this. I was offered a job to work for the NSLS through the college I attend and I accepted it because it sounded interesting.
It's a lifetime membership and is pretty good. Not for everybody but if you wanna save money and learn some neat things go ahead. Scam. If it's anything like what I received a few years back there's like an "initiation fee" and I was able to come to an event they held states away from me at my own expense. Hi there.

Randomly got an invitation to this NSLS/ Sigma Alpha Pi honor society in my GV mailbox. It kinda seems like a scam to me, as it's asking for an $85 dollar membership fee.
